    Making a New Dipstick

Lokar makes a nice flexible dipstick that some people use, or you could save a hundred, and search the junkyard for a toyota stick with the right shape. I would bend a section of wire or coat hanger to the shape you need, then go salvage yard shopping. Most toyota's will have the same mounting...

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Not much done lately. I received some grommets in the mail today for the spare tire well. I'm not even sure if grommets came stock there, or if Toyota just put two rubber pads down over them. Regardless, the holes are 1 3/8", so I ordered two grommets for it. To my understanding, these...

My old mk3 was bought by for a movie being shot in my town

Too funny... Now i realize that i'm going to go see a movie, in the hopes that a mkIII supra will be on the big screen for 1 second... And the bigger problem is, if it's featured in multiple scenes, the value of mkIII's will probably jump.

    Project Git 'er done!: Stages 1, 2, 3, 4....Stage 5- Reassembly after 13 years!!!

Dunno, but my tank looked pretty much brand new on the inside. You'll notice a bit of sediment around the inside base of the orange pump resevoir, but i cleaned that out prior to reinstallation. Aside from that, you can see the metal looks perfect.

Can the power steering pumps front seal be replaced without removing the shaft?

This. OR, you can attempt to grind down the base metal of the new seal, so that it sits maybe a half millimeter in deeper, thus sealing against an unworn section of the shaft. Not easy to do, without screwing up the seal's mating surface.

having a hard time making a choice looking for some opinions...

I would also get the AllTrac. Rare car that you never see on the road. Make sure its reliable, THEN buy a good project supra, that you can take your time on, and build the way you want it. I drove my supra as a dd for 15+ yrs, and only retired it when i had my MR2(which was given to me to watch...

You wear a blue hardhat when you drive it? Or is the hardhat just a symbol, indicating that the car is now "under construction"?

Original straps. They weren't rusty, so I just cleaned and painted them, and scrubbed down the rubber insulators on them.Still have to polish and wax the fuel tank... just kidding. But no, I really have to polish the fuel tank soon...
