Almost everything you want to remove is in the rear. Bad idea in an already nose heavy car.

Then you know where your problem is.. Check the gaskets for the test pipe and make sure its sealed tight.

Even with a test pipe you shouldn't be able to smell your exhaust from the interior (Unless you're stopped and wind is blowing the exhaust to the front of the car). If your exhaust extends all the way to the back of the car I'd check for exhaust leaks first.

Well that's the whole point. If people can just run breathers, can't I just disconnect the line temporarily while I have the velocity stack on? The oil vapor will still have a path to the catch can, there just won't be vaccuum pulling it into there (Just like if it had breathers).
