    beat a 1984 p type supra

    The L-types had a P-type style wheel, but it was a 15x6, not a 14x7. Also, the turbo Mk2 was a 2.0 engine, it was the M-TEU: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_M_engine#M-TE

My Supra Turbo vs Forester XT(turbo)

Difference between your cars? I bet he had the kids and groceries in the back. :p

best cost effective ways for stripping paint on the car?

Man, why did I never think of the board trick? Seems so obvious now that you mention it... And just have to point out, that 40 years have passed, and Nissan has YET to make a better looking car.

    Need advice / suggestions

Try locking/unlocking your car from the passenger door, see if that works better with the alarm. I know my 88 was that way, if you unlocked it from the driver side, you'd set off the alarm. I never bothered fixing it, seemed a good additional "security" method. :p

Most Common Leaks for a MKIII?????

Bwahaha... beat me to it man. Was gonna say, "is it a 7m? Then everything. Is it a JZ? Probably still a bit of everything.". Even a well maintained car can leak a bit here and there, I'm going to be doing my best to make sure my next shell doesn't have ANY leaks. We shall see how successful I am...

MKIII - T.S. Front Wide Fendersr Design: Project

Eh, a well done car is a well done car man, no matter who makes it. My next car very well may be a Honda (err... Acura here I guess), nothing wrong with that. :) I would think Advan would do a car up right, no?

    300Kmh Speedometer Gauge?

How it reads should be dependent upon how you have the gears setup, specifically the one in your transmission matches what rear diff you have. How come we never got any cool speedos for the MPH crowd? I guess we're certainly a minority in the car world, but still... Gonna have to make my own it...

    Sonic Generations

Dreamcast even? Forget old, at this point I'm feeling ancient... I think my first system was probably either an Atari or an NES, more likely the NES, Mom had a thing for Dr. Mario. :p Seriously though, if you have a chance, download the demo of Generations, it's worth 10 minutes of your time...

    Motorcycles - First time buyer/rider

Fair enough, but I'll never be one to condone driving after drinking, although the time frame you clarify makes it more responsible than how it could have been interpreted initially. :)

    Its finally here! (Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86)

A year? 6 months, if it hasn't already happened. Gonna take a BIG hammer from the looks of things though... As for the car, we'll see. I loved driving my old TE72 Corolla, loved driving the Miatas, and this looks like the next in line for 'cheap and fun' cars. I'll test drive one if I see one...

    1JZGTE 1mm oversized exhaust valves!!

I don't plan on running more than maybe 7500rpm, as I'm building it all for mid-high range power, but I am curious at what you have in mind here, as far as details and ballpark pricing. You know, just in case I end up deciding some stock valves sound tasty someday. :)

    sbc in a MK3...

You can always do a blow-through carb, not sure if they cost any more though... I've never seen a glide used with much success on a street car, personally. They make great transmissions for drag racing though, especially with the load they'll put on the engine. Hell, my brother's Impala has a...

    Car wrap instead of paint?

Well there's the answer to your question sir. :) It can be hard to put up with a car that you know could be better looking (trust me, I know the feeling every time I walk by the Mk2, which is every day...), but all good things to those that wait, right?

Widebody: S2 front fenders and Kaze Aerocraft rear fenders (Shineautoproject Replica)

I wouldn't say they're HEAVY, but a bit more than I'd like to have stuck to the corners. Price is certainly right and they look pretty good too. May end up looking into those if CCW isn't interested in kidneys as payment. :p

Rock Auto was a good place to get these as well. I think I paid like $30 or so for all 4. :)

best cost effective ways for stripping paint on the car?

Never gave that much thought, but I only ever kept paint stripper in my car for that asshole I used to work with that liked to park within inches of your drivers side door on purpose. :p Although, the brush idea sounds like an alright idea so long as you were careful with it. Would suck to...

    Some battery questions

Something about OEM batteries just amazes me... my girlfriend's Mazda3 still has the first battery that came in it. This thing is at least 7 years old, over 84k on it... it's a beast. That said, I'm expecting it to be needing replacement any time now. Cy, I always had problems with alternators...

    Climate control woes.

Interesting, I have this same problem in the Mk2. I just kinda sucked it up that winter I had to drive it, but it sure isn't fun, especially if your windows start to fog up. In the mean time, you should invest in some UnderArmor, that stuff works great in the cold. :)

V-mounted MKIII Third times the charm.

Haha, that Datsun set off a spark? :p Oh well, was hoping to see how well this all worked out for you, good luck with the V8 build. From what I've seen in this thread it should be interesting. :)
