The fluid get hot and drops in viscosity like it's supposed to. Plus, who knows how the Sea Foam reacted with the old ATF. Hope this is a lesson...never use any motor oil or ATF additive/cleaner. For gasoline additives the only ones worth using are those that contain polyether amine. PEA is...
Well...you need to change the filter and do a real flush. That is going to take at least 10 quarts of ATF. The Sea Foam may have broke some crap loose and restricted the filter screen. The drain and fill only replaced a third of the fluid...even though it looked clean, it wasn't if it had a...
Titan is made by Cometic. It's on par with the other bead type MHGs, including the Greddy and HKS. With all MHGs, the block and head surfaces have to be decked to meet the RA (smoothness) spec...for the Cometic it's 50 RA. I highly suggest you determine how much material is removed from the...
You added Sea Foam to your ATF? :3d_frown:
Another victim of the snake oil salesman...I would drain the tranny, drop the pan and change the filter. Then flush with fresh ATF (not just fill)...make sure you use Dex III. I use Castrol Import ATF...Mobil 1 would be a good choice too.
I...
Did you use Prestone Heavy Duty Cleaner? It's a two part powdered product that includes a neutralizer. If not get some oxalic acid from a chemical supply or ebay, it's the same chemical used in the Prestone. Neutralize with sodium carbonate (soda ash). If this doesn't clean it out, nothing...
The Zyrex G05 Grim posted (#10) earlier in this thread is as good or better than the Toyota Red and less expensive. I've used both and either will provide excellent service. The HOAT technology G05 uses has superior corrosion control in both steel and aluminum IMO.
A coolant filter is a...
That "fuzz" is an air filter...there is no vac line to the dashpot.
One look at the TSRM would have told you that...it might be a good idea to start reading it ;)
(just a novel idea)
How about none of the above ;)
On a well functioning cooling system, these type additives are not required. I would only use one if I was running 100% water in a track car. Using these additives in combination with certain coolants (Toyota Red is one) can cause a slime like deposit in...
You need to read this:

The only Toyota filter I would ever use is the Denso Japan filters...the Thailand filters are crap.
The only thing a larger filter will do for you is increase the capacity to hold more particulates...basically...
You've never heard of Red Line Oils? What rock are you living under ;)
Read the spec sheet OneJ posted in the 1st post. Red Line is an ester based Grp V oil, GC is a PAO based Grp IV oil...different base stock, but both are true synthetics. Ester is probably the best base stock out there...
That is perfect...right at the OEM thermostat temp rating and is what the ECU expects to "see". Means your cooling system is in good shape and has the excess capacity to handle OAT changes.
