Any cam change is going to affect the tune...how much is the question. The stock NA intake cam is going to shift the power curve to the left in a turbo motor, at the expense of top end power.
Like any other work on the 7M head, don't go nuts...be very careful you do not go outside the MHG bore diameter. The material removed is at the outside edge of the combustion chamber.
I had the machinist do this one ;)
Yes, it will improve flow around the valve into the cylinder.
If...
It's a heck of a lot better price than a $1600 Ferrea valve train and suits your HP goal.
I did use Ferrea bronze guides, but Toyota OEM will work too.
Have the machinist unshroud the valves if you do this ;)
Make sure you have the rod ends resized as well as a shot peen...it's easy to...

I would just PM SupraRich vs going to the websire ;)
You are looking at $450 for a full set of valves and Comp Cam springs.
I have the BC .5mm oversize in my head. Your existing seats (assuming no damage)...
You really think a 2JZ head will fit on a 7M block?
(this I got to see)
What?!? Stock compression for a turbo motor is 8.4:1...I'm confused.
Dude - it's pretty obvious you really don't know what you are doing here. Before spending any more $$$ on what you "think", you might want to do...
Idle has to be at 650-700 to accurately set timing.
Have you checked the ISCV for correct operation? It should step full open when the engine is shut down...you can usually hear it click multiple times.
Did you look at the check valve under the ISCV to make sure it is not clogged or stuck...
Three words: exhaust reversion dam (Google is your friend)
You want the exhaust ports smaller diameter than the manifold ports. Doesn't mean you can't smooth and remove restriction inside the port.
You will only see a big benefit on a high HP motor...400 is the beginning of that range...
Oh, it will work...but, finding a place to fit a filter head is a challenge. Especially on a turbo car. The positive side is the filter will take a very long time to reach capacity.
The magafine is simple, simple to fit and works for a year easy. The cooler loop is easily replaced with a...
The ISCV check valve is what you are referring to...no, it will not cause this problem.
You could always take the 2 seconds to look at the TRSM:

Of course, that might require personal effort ;)
Take a look at the "Other Engine Tech" section on swapping in different motors. You can do the 2J, but it is going to require custom work....the motor mounts for sure.
You can port match the intake, but should not on the exhaust. Like IJ said, no need to go nuts...the head flows pretty well already. Porting will help on the higher HP motors.
