    What Grinds Your Gears?

Just gotta be upfront and tell your lady friends that you're a scruffy nerfherder, a scoundrel, a scumbag (do it with a smile, possibly a wink), and then she really can't be upset with you when you're a "guy" around her. :)

    Notorious M.K.3.

Grandavi, it's kinda too bad that there were never any "risers" made for our spoilers like they had on the 6th gen Celicas. Would be a bit difficult to do properly and make look good, but I don't think it would be impossible... As far as I am aware, there are no replicas being made currently...

    Changing out Stock 1JZ twins

Depends on what you call worthless... I imagine that you would go through a few bits for the grinder at the least. I can say that porting the head makes a nice difference. ;)

Break up at about 5 % throttle

Start with the above suggestion. I'd personally suspect a TPS being out of spec/alignment myself, but I've never had this problem. Might list your related mods, could help those that know how to troubleshoot these things better than I do. ;)

    Header Panel (Above Bumper) Question

Good old stealerships... glad that bracket is cheap enough though. :)

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Thanks man, normally there would be a little more traffic, but a few things contributed to an empty street: -There are only a few businesses on that street anymore (the road is probably 100+ years old) -Most things close at 5 or 6pm around here, Monday through Friday, this was around 7-8pm on a...

    knocking noise,but not rod knock

I will have to take a look at the JZ pan when we pull the motor to put it in the widebody car. I'm not real sure if there is a pre-fabbed baffle for the 1j, or if it already has something similar. I wouldn't be surprised to see this car approaching/exceeding 1.0g in lateral acceleration at...

    upgrading stock speakers

Found out the hard way that having mine set up like this wasn't the brightest idea... then I finally bought some latches and bolted them to the sub box, they stopped moving around on me. ;) Ahh, to be young and dumb haha. :p

Would these rims be race or rice?

Justin, you should know by now... car wheels have a "rim" too. That is the part that is inside of the tire, that isn't the spokes. However, it's not very commonly discussed on one piece wheels. ;) To the OP, I'd probably pass on these wheels, unless you're going for a summer/winter thing, where...

    This is no laughing matter

A priest, a rapist, and a pedophile walk into a bar. Then he orders a drink. :p

Minor auto accident injury experiences? I'd appreciate feedback!

Everyone is in business to make money. ;) Also, they have probably had a lot more fraud claims to deal with in recent years, hence the desire for information. They don't want to see you doing gymnastics if you're in such pain...

    Toyota scion fr-s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, ended up watching some videos of this car over the weekend. That was a mistake... I get the feeling that if I end up driving one of these, I may end up falling in love with it. Plus, as much as I'd love an NSX, it seems the market on them is headed to the far end of what I call...

Fuel cut = check engine light? 1jz break up at 4500 rpm

Just because your Supra isn't a 12 cylinder doesn't mean they're not out there. ;) Also, back in the day it wasn't horribly uncommon to run 2 injectors per cylinder for highly tuned motors. Not so much of a big deal with modern injectors though. :)

    Lets talk Weight Reduction

Is gravity different down there, or are you missing a LOT of stuff in your car? :p Details?

    Header Panel (Above Bumper) Question

The header panel is a poly of some sort, like the bumpers, IIRC. As for the retaining piece for those nuts, shouldn't be hard to fab up a mount for it if you can't find a good one on a car being parted out...

Is this worth investing in? Opinions please!

For that kind of money you can have better. Keep in mind, any car in this price range is going to need a good deal of maintenance addressed. ;)

    92 teal/shadow gray on craigslist

Eh... I'd be a little curious as to what those "minor" repairs it needs for that price. Hell, Dustin got his car for not a whole lot more than that, and it was in VERY good shape.

Best brake option for with stock 16" rims?

Given what you've posted here, I would spend the ~$500 on some OEM (or turned, if you can get them done) rotors, a good set of pads, fresh fluid, and lines. If you plan on going with bigger wheels in the future, you might just save that money for the ARZ front kit. Hard to say, would depend on...

    knocking noise,but not rod knock

So what you're saying is that it's good to put baffles around the pickup to trap oil so that it doesn't go flying away from the pickup when making harsh maneuvers? I've seen a similar thing for the LS swapped Miatas... all sorts of fun trap doors to keep oil in a good spot. :) IIRC, the 1j had...

What did you do to your supra today? Pics

Washed and waxed it last weekend, went and took some pictures downtown: I'm pretty happy with how they turned out. Not too bad for a point/shoot camera, but waiting to see what my buddy Kyle got on his camera. Much nicer setup...
