    Looking at 7MGTE Ignition Alternatives...

Alright Ken- here's my graph. Pulled very cleanly and didn't break up, using .028 The hump you see at ~4000 is the wastegate opening up. I have my ebc set to begin opening the gate at 15.5 psi, and that's what you see there.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

A couple- I had the boost control solenoid ports mixed up so that was causing a lot of lag, and my PCV started spitting oil after 2 hours of tuning. Fixed the boost solenoid by swapping pipes, and added a custom catch can (read, Sean's lipton bottle) to keep the oil off of Shane's rollers. Made...

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

lol, not really. It did make 408.1hp/386tq at the wheels on DB's Dyno dynamics dyno so I'm extremely happy! I'll have the graph up soon.

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

So they aren't race series, but Duraglide 780's. Not sure if they're the same or not, but these ones tested out very similar as far as clearances go. Nothing less than .001, nothing more than .002. These bearings are made by/stamped with ACL's emblem, the ones I pulled were made by NDC. Ran the...

    22re injectors not firing

Are you sure that the injectors are getting a good positive voltage supply? If you put a noid light on an injector pigtail it still needs + and - to flash. Make sure the injectors have 12v (may be more like 9volts with the resistor) going to one pin for each injector, and then the ECU grounds...

    92nsx's supra build

Yeah, you guys are thinking way too much of me- I'm just a kid who can kinda fix stuff sometimes...:dunno: But rear timing cover leak would be full-o-fail. So what all seals/gaskets would you want fixed? It sounds more like I'm going to want to drop the whole drivetrain and do it all at once...

    92nsx's supra build

Drew says that he got Viton seals, and the fact they came with condoms for install supports that idea. If they actually are viton seals, they are superior to the OEM rubber seals. I have heard of silicone valve stem seals, but I have no experience with them. If all else fails would go with OEM.

    my turbo

Yep, the Boss series turbos are really nice, but I would suggest NOT getting a DDP if you ever plan on running a Boss Sr. or Jr.- I think a bellmouth style would be better.

    Mr.Yuk's Swap/Build

Good center section? I don't know about that, but it should be better than what's sitting in the storage cabinet right now. At least for the thrust play, it should be better.

the front weep hole means front main seal?

Nope, you're rght on both accounts. Could also be the front timing cover gasket, valve cover gaskets, lots of stuff. I would suggest a good cleaning and then run the engine- see if new oil comes out. Oil dye and a blacklight can help if you're dealing with a very smal leak/hard to find. Good...

Article: The Toyota Common part number sticky

MK4 motor mounts for round mount replacement. *Will require grinding/removal of the large locating 'nub' Insulator Assy, Engine P/N 12360-46011 (get 2) They look extremely strong compared to the round mounts and they are very much cheaper! (About 2/5 price) Edit: after running these on...

    Boss turbo or driftmotion????

Rob- I will drive up to your house next Thurs/Friday so you can feel what this turbo is capable of. The main issue I dealt with was boost creep. Out of the box my turbo did 20 psi and that was at a 7psi crack pressure. I have a divorced downpipe and what I think happened is that when the...

    Mr.Yuk's Swap/Build

He's not dropping the compression by much, Drew had the block and head machined. By doing so you have to go with a slightly thicker HG plus he really wanted a stopper. HKS only makes 1.2, 2, 3mm units so the choice was obvious. Also, he says 350 now, but when we get Sean (funky_monkey58), Dan...

    Block O-ring?

Bets plan I can suggest is save, save, save. I saved up $7500 before I even started pulling the engine out so I was guaranteed to get stuff done, rather than take up lots of space waiting and such. You might consider picking up a stock turbo Supra- I think you'll be very impressed with their bpu...
