    Thats odd, I was seing 16psi @ the intake manifold with just a 3" cat-less y-pipe back and a cone filter in the airbox location.

    Yeah, early 1989 cars are bastards. The wiring is completely different, and they still use the square mounts. The superwhite is also different in this year than any other year.

    They are not showroom stock, they are "mustang" stock. Pretty much a mild head, cam, intake manifold and exhaust manifolds car.

    nitrous on the 1jz

    I'm running an external, so that is not a problem for me. The wastegate is welded shut. As to the nitrous, run it, but be safe about it. There is nothing wrong with more horsepower. Boost + Nitrous just takes a bit of octaine. I would not do it on pump gas.

    Ahhhhhhh Dell! They dont even make for good objects to burn. Fucking HATE dell, and the same would go to HP printers if I didn't know how to disasemble and reassemble them in my sleep (almost everything from a 4si to a 9600). Enjoy the education, you shouldn't be there more than 2 years.

    If you ever come up to CT, LMK you have my #. Ill see if I can get you to get paid for your trip in 1 day. BTW, at tx10, see if you can set something up. I am sure there will be many a person (myself included) that would pay for a high quality detail after a long trip out.

    The stock head, intake mani, cams and throttle body are good for mid 10s, ask slow66. 10.5 second 1/4 mile run, with just a 61mm.

    If anything, get the xspower kit, many people have run a variey of their parts, and they have not broken, including the owner of the company himself, and I will be running most of his 1jz kit (pretty much minus turbo, bov and piping). Just to warn you, stock fuel will run out VERY fast on a t4...

    Aristo ECU on 1JZ

    Rev limit and speed cut can be taken care of with a Speed for Sale tune, but it is almost the price of a standalone. IIRC, cutting the speed sensor wire will still work however, just need to locate it on the pin out.

    Thats why I keep the ECU in my house, not in the car. The car on jackstands behind a garage door with broken springs also helps. Farking door is HEAVY, and will slam down loud (and could maim/kill someone).

    Look for a JDM MKIV downpipe on rinkya or ebay. You might need to fab up a midpipe tho. Or, just run the stock aristo DP till you can get one made.

    Dyno the car, and find where power drops off. Shift to keep the car in its powerband.

    turbo setups are fairly easy on the 4.0 motors. My friend has one setup with an ebay t60. He hacked the stock header, and just put in a J pipe to the other side of the motor. On that, he put a turbo flange. 7psi, and he is just using a rising rate FPR to control it, its running fairly rich...
