Stop judging with those judging eyes.
When IJ. drops a SBC (albeit a LSx) into his car everyone goes OOOoooo AAAaahhhh. When someone drops a carbed SBC into their car everyone looks down upon it.
To the OP, I am glad you will be able to fit the carb and air cleaner under the hood, I hate...
Its either a 295 or a 255, as I want to keep the wheels I have (might be tempted to run a big and little combo, but that would get me into trouble). I have some 20mm spacers I can do for the rear though.
This is all theoretical however.
Everyone knows that supra owners never speed or drive "out of control" unless we are on a closed track. It would be illegal otherwise.
In all seriousness, I never pushed my car very hard without the power steering, but I would be worried about more than a...
Muscles? I dont really see how people have a hard time with them, maybe it had to do with the 225 rubber I had up front, and not some wide tire like Grim said.
I do not see a plate between the carb and the manifold, I am slightly upset.
My friend is using a similar motor setup in his s10, only with lower compression and a 6-71

I am looking at the MT et-street radial, sized 295/50/16 and thinking it is too big (I am using MKIV NA wheels) to fit without rolling and trimming.
Proper engine harness (needs to be the auto version for year and motor)
Driveshaft
flexplate
converter
tranny (obviously)
kickdown cable
Tranny cooler and lines
If I think of more, I will let you know.
IIRC it is a clutch type, they all are except the TTr dif which was a torsion. Reshim your dif, there should be an article somewhere around here for that.

There you go.
With those he-man arms you got, I don't blame you:sarcasm:
When I had the 7m-ge in my car, I had the lines looped and it felt wonderful (after adjusting for 15 min or so). When I put the 1jz in the car, I kept the power steering and I did not like it as much, I felt too disconnected to the road.
If you got an aristo clip, run everything the exact way you find it.
This motor is going in your kp right? You may need to play with the shifter location to get it right. On the stock setup, what is the measurement between your shifter and the end of the bellhousing, where it bolts to the...
keep the rack filled, otherwise you may run into some problems later.
Guys, if the PS is removed correctly (lines looped and rack is full of fluid), it is not bad at all to drive over 5mph.
