No need to worry as all of the engine codes of GE and GTE are the same, infect its funny because toyota uses all the same codes on all of there vehicles tell IIRC 1994....
Thats a great idea but I think they may run into an issue of 87-88 holes and then 89+ holes as those years very also you half to think about supras that where wingless from the factory how are you suppose to mount it when there are no holes to mount to.

And drilling a hole in the firewall I cant see doing the swap any other way... Why risk hacking the hole harness up when you only need to extend the body connectors and call it done... thats how my swap went...
thats horrable that a shop would do that :( I would be pissed! At least she looks complete cosmetically all your missing is a few misc engine parts, at least its some what complete.
