problems solved guys! turns out the master was working fine all along. 3 of my 4 brake caliper pins were siezed. i guess cuz the car was sitting for a while. took them out and cleaned them, and the brakes are better than ever! learned something new yesterday lol. thanks for all the help!
I ruled that out because the master cylinder that was originally on the car was in working order until recently. both the original master and reman feel the same after being bled numerous times. so there's more of a certainty of the reman being defective just as the original.
wow! i didn't know it was common that the reman cylinders were defective. i have hope now! lol ill get another one ASAP and update you guys some time next week. no time to work on it :(

update. i noticed when i pump the brakes i see the fluid inside the brake cylinder moving. and the hissing noise might be air in the master cylinder itself. ill take it out and bench bleed it, then put it back on and see what happens. also that could of been the problem with my previous cylinder...
yea i read this thread before i posted mine. its similar except my brake calipers are on correctly..ill get a new master cylinder again and ill see what happens..i'll keep you guys posted. thanks!

no i didnt bench bleed it. i just put it on and bled the brakes. i changed master cylinders before without bench bleeding. defective master cylinder could be a possibility. but does that happen often? the brakes literally feel the same as before i changed the cylinder :(
i bled the system again in the correct order. bled each caliper 4 times and still nothing! im hearing a hissing noise when i pump the brake when the car is off..sounds like air. does that mean my booster is holding isn't air pressure or something? The person that had the car before me never had...
i recently bought a 91 shell and transferred over my drivetrain from my 87. while swapping my coilovers a broke a brake line. so i replaced it and i bled the brake system. the brakes were firm with the car off, and it felt as if there were no air in the system. but when i started the car the...
the motor is sitting perfectly on the crossmember mount, oem engine mounts, and original jza70 brackets..again no time to take a pic today. ill try n take one tomorrow n post it.
it fits. but just one side is touching the tunnel a bit. i didn't get the time to take a picture today. but tomorrow for sure i'll have a pic up for you guys..thanks for all the help! this shit is really stressing me out :/
yea it looks straight and it spins fine without touching anything. but my car is on jackstands. not on a lift so its kinda hard to see if it might be a lil off since its right in my face
im using the same tranny mount that came with my 1j when i bought it. im using 91 circle engine mounts, jza70 brackets.

i would assume its a 5spd crossmember because it came with my motor setup when...
my friend did it and it lined up perfectly in the middle and he didnt have to cut anything. i hear stories that some people have to cut. but the thing is the tranny is touching the tranny tunnel a little. it looks a bit off. but the driveshaft and everything is bolted it up and spins with no...
ok long story short i swapped my 1j 5spd setup from my 87 into an original 91 turbo auto shell. so i swapped the motor n tranny in the other day and the motor sat perfectly where it was suppose to with no issues. this means that the tranny is suppose to line up perfectly as long as the motor is...
