    Take some care with the valve on the PwrSteer pump they're easily broken (hose fittings snap off) and were $400 AUD last time I priced one! Very welcome!

    It's such a small volume and such infrequent use I wouldn't be too concerned about it other than making sure it can't suck crap in as you have.

    It's an air bleed for full lock turns so it raises the idle, when it's open it's sucking so you'd need some sort of filter on the hose so you're not sucking crap into the motor.

    Just follow the instructions on the initial charge from memory 100 psi then back it off to 6 psi. I don't run a valve at all.
