No actually I posted my personal experience using the best manual and best auto scenarios, as I said a few pages back it will come down to what she wants to do but done properly the auto is a viable alternate.
There are so many low cost mods available it would be silly not to try them before...
Was watching the Aussie Muscle Car Masters on TV today and this year they've included a Group A class.

And being 3" diameter the PMoI is so low the extra weight would barely be noticable..... come on guys you're not racing class cars where 1hp will make a difference quit being weight weenies. :nono:
Might just be pushing the WG Valve off the seat in 3rd.
Adding a few washers will help some, check the AVCR gear settings to make sure it's not pulling boost on purpose.
If you spend time setting it up the AVCR is brilliant but it's easy to lose your way.
Weekend job if you have a shop that can repair your old core handy or if you have a new one ready.
Get lots of baggies and a sharpie for the 100's of bolts ;)

My point is he know's the math why not crunch the numbers, as we all know what has been done in the real world will most times not be close to the theory.
I guess it comes down to what they mark on.
Yep where I live was a very rough area when I was a kid......
If I was away from home and people asked where I lived you would see them cringe a little at the answer..
As I said most of the bad element are long gone one way or another.
I know what my dyno bill is and how many additional hours I've put into making my tune pretty, to me it's more than worth it compared to popping an engine.
