Yep copper washers and you really need to replace them or anneal them if reusing.

    7mge compression test

I'd check the cam tunnels to make 100% sure it's straight, measured a bud's 7M with the IR gun yesterday and there's a HUGE variation Front to Rear on these heads temp wise :( Also check the Exhaust side for hardness.

You won't find them in the introduction section... <moved>

    Wheel hop?

Ditto SS arms stopped the bounce here.

    7mge compression test

Normal HG is 1.37mm compressed yours was 1.27mm so being that tight would explain the extra crush. I'd be checking that the head is still straight after checking it for hardness.

A fraction under stock but that could just be from being pulled down tighter.

If you have enough octane to keep it out of detonation yes there would be some more power there. Measure the HG at the CC ring?

Virgin head then so that rules that out as being a factor. What HG was in it?

Just checked with a bud here 9.8:1 V's 9.2:1. (learn something new every day)

If you get a chance measure the Deck to Valve cover seal surface HG and the block from the Main bearing saddle to the Deck surface, as I said I wasn't aware of different pistons in the Japanese/USDM engines as we got the Jap spec engines here. But having said that the change in dish...

Do I need ARP rod bolts for my power goal?

Worth the change just for the peace of mind and having the rods resized and Magged at the same time.

Never heard of an alternate compression ratio for NA's, from memory they have a 14cc dish piston (19cc for GTE's) and use the same 40cc combustion chamber volume. This is not to say your engine may have had after market pistons fitted and this is the reason the comp test is so high.

Might be an idea if you went and washed the sand out.... I never for a second said 230 psi was in anyway normal. What I said was comparing a 6M to a 7M is Apples to Oranges for the reasons I listed above, if you knew how to calculate Compression ratio's you'd understand this and NOT take...

Settle down..... What's the CC of the Head? Cylinder swept volume? I bet they're not even close so YES Apples to Oranges.

You have a well known Orange bias though ;)
