    I've measured a 30c difference in head temp from the front to the back of an idling 7M so it's very important to get the sensor location correct, bottom of the rad isn't it...

    Goon: Going to a 3mm will make a difference, not discounting what Disturbed is saying but even at 8.5:1 a 3.0L I-6 in a 1500+Kg car is NEVER going to be "snappy" ;) Mine was doughy off boost as well but it's just degrees of sogginess between 2mm and 3mm.

    Coolant would piss out everywhere if the HG was flipped AJ. I meant crank it with a cam cover off and wait till there's pressure at the head/cam.

    Flat and very smooth! I wouldn't be super paranoid I've ran a 2mm then a 3mm MHG in the same engine and didn't notice any huge differences other than knock threshold on pump fuel. It's not like you're building a class car that has to deliver every last hp.

    No they don't compress ;) It may drop your compression slightly ie 8.5:1 to 8.25:1 from memory in the real world you will never tell or measure a difference.

    You unbolt the saddle mounts and it comes out forward, there are specific PwrSteer filters designed to do the job.

    I wouldn't run it till it's sorted and you can confirm there's Oil up there.

    The Labyrinth into the stock basket is HUGE I don't think that would be the cause. The 044 from memory has a -10 inlet but I'd think the out flow from the Denso would be more than enough to keep up, I'm still inclined to think it's the stock filter and lines downstream. I'm off to play...

    I would think so but there's a valve in the tank at the end of that line that could effect it. Does it change it's behaviour dependant on fuel level?
