sounds like the fan clutch is bad. With the engine hot and shut off, pop the hood and try to spin the fan with your hand. if it spins real easy the clutch is probably shot. When traveling at highway speeds your motor is getting cooled by the air rushing in naturally. When you hit stop and go...

Get bigaarons kit, do them all at once, only takes a few hours max on an NA. Never have a problem with those again. As for the auto trans issues, cant help ya there, Im pretty much an auto tranny noob.

yeah, I hear what your saying. If you got a welder you could reinforce it somehow and make it work to some extent. Of course, you could always just get a set of "wings" and be done with it! :naughty: But since you got a spare top...I suppose it couldnt hurt to try something with it.
