I went over to Tims to help him pull his borked r154. I got there and he already had it out (for what? the 3 time in the last month?). He needed the tail section off it for his rebuilt r154 because it looked like his original was warped or something...
anyway, after pulling the tail case off...
Besides making the new years resolution to quit smoking (which Im still going strong on btw) I made the following goals in order for myself this year.
1. 500HP before 08
2. win a ROTM this year
3. develop 1 new item for sale every quarter. (for you non math people thats 4 items this year, oh...
Well, other than the occasional and ongoing issue of not wanting to start unless I stand on my head, spit nickles and yell horray, Lucy runs tip top. Doesnt use oil, stay nice and cool and has plenty of power for an old man like me.
But Im going through an early mid-life crisis and I need Lucy...
Hells - Jay is already gonna have the limelight. Its just natural 'cause of what a nice guy he is. His car was RotM and in the top 3. I dont think Lucy would have a whole lot of chance stealing limelight away from him. I just wanted to Represent for the other 3E5's that are where I was 6 months...
This is NOT an option. It make zero sense to add the weight of a spare engine/stand/extra parts all the way to Houston and then up to Austin a few months later. When my wife and I split up I sold 80% of what I was left with just to be able to travel light.
Secondly, being down for a few weeks...
Well hell! thats the best offer Ive had all week! (yeah I know my life is boring) I'll come down and get that. Any particular day this week that you want an extra pair of hands for your own repairs? If that isnt for a little while I'll come get it tonight after I get back from Portland.
well, that is indeed another option. However, that option is even more expensive than #4. If I go with one of the other options I had planned to do that this summer. I wanted to do a serious motor, but I want to wait until Im at my final destination before I go buying big heavy hunks of cast...
Dude, dont sweat it. Im leaning towards not doing my rebuild this month. I think Im just gonna do an HG replacement in car. I realized just yesterday that Im going to be doing this all by myself as Tim will be in WA by the time I am ready to do it.
Sorry to hear about the BHG. That sucks royal...
ok here is the deal. I want to be able to turn the boost up to 20-25lbs. The engine my car is a complete unknown internally (externally its solid and has alot of new parts and is getting more). Im putting on a bunch of new parts that has the potential to exceed 450hp (I say potentially here...
TTL I would be happy to do one for you. Help me come up with some ideas.
Im liking the 1-3/4" cowl so much I have to redo my hood now. Which Im thinking will be pretty easy to take material out. I'm going to do a NACA duct over the intake with a rain trap. I am probably going to try to fab...
Hey thats nice. I need to make a mount for my 20GB portable drive. Its just sitting in the console right now. What I would ultimately like to do is build a slot for it maybe on the console somewhere. I want to be able to slip the HD into the slot and have the connector built into the slot. Push...
probably didnt have a whole lot of tuning time. Awesome first dyno numbers. By TX2K7 you should be easily over 400 right? Now you got me rethinking my build...Just how many over 400hp dyno passes will a stock A340 make? :aigo:
I think I may just have to find out.
Well done Jay and...
Hey Keelan I just might have to do that. What do you want for it?
and yeah, I will eventually go 5 speed, this is kinda of a temp measure and I wont be pushing that much HP through it. probably no more than 325 or so. I dont plan on turning up the boost until I do a full rebuild
