That is alot of gauges. Do what Im doing, buy 52mm oil pressure, water temp and voltmeter and put them in the right three gauge spots in the dash pod. Move your stock fuel level to the left spot.

If memory serves me correctly this indeed could be a contributing factor in your compression. Basically, if the tollerance is too tight, the valve doesnt seat all the way allowing a little blowby. I cant say I feel confident that is 100% of your problem, but it certainly could be a contributing...
