    Downsides are they slip, slip and slip some more..... Depending on diff gears you might find yourself cruising along on the highway slipping it's brains out, very annoying and costs in fuel. Lockup fixes all of that stupidity but there is a limit to how much power the lockup can handle.

    Meh I ALWAYS leave manual cars in gear as I don't trust the e-brake alone to hold it.... It becomes second nature to wobble the shifter to make sure it's in "N".. No real proof other than I've never personally crank walked an engine even running some retardedly heavy clutches.

    You're not making sense.... if you didn't fill the Converter how can it be overfull (and why would that cause it to slip?) Slip is usually not enough Oil, you could have pumped 2 Qt's into the Converter then the pan will be 2 Qt's low, as I said you need to bleed all of the Air out of all of...

    None of our cars got that idiocy, you can do without it and it's good for the Thrust bearings in the engine if running an uprated PP, you just need to train yourself to NOT hit the starter unless it's in neutral or you hold the clutch down....
