Ummmm...do I wanna know what you do with that much "hand goop"? Ian, that sounds like a smashing idea. Until a past renter gets the idea to rip the place off when no ones around, and the "owners" are held responsible. I dont know what its like on the bottom side of the globe but up here...

Maybe we could buy headgaskets in bulk, :naughty: ......:nono: ok, I find myself giving in to the 7M hype now. How about this instead, we could minimize tool investment and maximize manpower. So long as we dont have to grow our own vegetables and wear Birkenstocks, Im up for it!

Wheel Question: Milling hubs to increase offset?

thats a good point. I didnt really think of the back of a self-locating lug. That would be a thin spot probably. The reason I asked this was I was really interested in a 17x9 +24 and if I didnt like the fit I was hoping to have a possble solution other than just re-selling em.

Kylefoto is jumping on the bandwagon, build thread!

Kyle I would honestly check JCWhitney for front carpet sets. There are a bunch of companies that make factory replacements and you can get just the front section. Its cheaper than you might think. edit: just a quick search online yielded this. http://www.auto-interior.com/toyota10.htm#Supra...

Wheel Question: Milling hubs to increase offset?

Of course there are spacers to decrease offset, but what if you want to take a set of wheels and increase offset? Safety concerns aside (I wouldnt be ignoring them, just leaving that out of this question for now) has anyone ever looked into it? Anyone know anyone who has done it or knonw where...

Take them to a tire shop real quick and have the junk tires taken off. Box the two bare wheels in one box and the other two in another box (deflate them btw, they will be lighter) and check them at the airport. You MAY have to pay for an extra bag unless you travel light but thats still WAY...

Haven't done this in a while... POST YOUR PETS

Pimp, how did I know you would be the snake owner type? Its interesting to me to put the pet with the person. I think an animal says alot about a person. Sometimes the pets dont surprise me, like Jay's brindles or Kyles beagle, and some do surprise me like Aarons kitties. To me a pet fleshes...

    Noob external wastegate question...

if you are feeling overwhelmed here ya might want to try Suzi's (Supragirl)site (I hope its ok I mention her site here Mike) HERE It tends to move a bit slower and there are some really good experts there and a well thought out FAQ/tech section. SM is really more of an addiction for some of...

I try to stay positive with you new mechanics and offer advice when I can. Ive even chastised some of the other veterans for being a bit harsh sometimes. But sometimes ya just gotta ask... WTF? yeah, thats what Im saying. There seems to be a rash of complete bonehead moves mechanically by...

    Noob external wastegate question...

thats a good point...but hardly something I would advertise, lol if what you have is the HKS style gate and an ebay manifold...then yes you need the plate. It is in fact the seal. do not put a gasket in there either.

help putting tranny in the hole (help)

Im confused, what is this "axle" you speak of? if its the driveshaft then it should already be out of the car before you tried putting the motor/trans back in. So, the motor and trans are bolted together and you are just having trouble getting it all the way back and down into place? It takes...
