RIIIIIIGHT...Tell that to Nate! :naughty:
honestly I dont care if the damn thing get painted camoflage with a big pink 3D bow on it, so long as its fast and I get to see the thing run at least once!
not biased here or anything, but I really like the red the best with the SM logo. To me it makes the most sense. People see the car, come to suprmania see the red banner, it just has a certain amount of continuity.
I also think Tissmo has a good point about the idea of get it making passes...
actually I was a bit confused on that as well. In the original write up I thought it mentioned 194's but when I pulled the bulbs in my 86.5NA they were 158's (same base differnt wattage). When I did my bulb swap for my 89T they all came out 194's, so Toyota may have changed it at some point...
Naa, Steven has already been a big help running my ass all over town. I think he is just excited for me to see SOMETHING taking shape. As for the thermostat housing...there isnt one. Yet ;) It doesnt go on until the head goes on remember?
The first machine shop I took my parts to screwed me...
Im sorry for not putting this in the regional forums but since it was kinda urgent I was hoping someone would see it here better.
Tuesday parts run:
I need a few things from champion (or possibly even another dealer will have what I need, I will find out in the morning) but my mk3 is down...
I put the 5 LED Wide angles in my dash and it looks sweet. I didnt want to go aftermarket faces. Since I have a red/black theme going I figured I could stay with the stock black faces and just swap in the reb bulbs. Ive tried it with the red 194's you can buy at autozone and it just wasnt...
Well so far its just a pipe dream. I am still deep in my rebuild and really am not able to focus on much else. I think this would be a completely doable thing but I dont know if there is gonna be enough people willing to do it.
If nothing else anyone wanna get a 4 br house with maybe a 3 car...
Yep, thanks guys. When I saw you posting the spec as x" it dawned on me. It was a noob mistake, but Im still glad Im taking it slow. If my mentor would get done doing what hes doing and come over, this would probably go alot faster, lol
The Celica has a VERY LONG tradition of reliability, economy and resale value. If you buy a decent one today you can expect to be able to sell it for a good price in a few years. A decent low milage 5th or 6th gen shouldnt cost much and would be an excellent choice for a DD to go to school in...
I know, well thats part of the reason I stopped right there, I didnt want to screw it up and end up waiting on a new set of rings.
The block just came back from a reputable shop and was bored to spec for the pistons. Scroggins is the place that Champion Toyota takes its machine work so I doubt...
Looking a the specs in the book I see that they are quit a bit different from what adjuster mentioned as an update to his 7M assembly tips. As Im using stock pistons and stock rings I was thinking I should go with the books specs. My problem lies in the fact that upon initial check the gaps are...
its not bad, but not really what I had in mind exactly. What I had a little chuckle about was JMDigital's graphic of the old guy on the right, but chop him into a cartoon supra and place that graphic at the end of one line of text with the slogan. I would have slapped something together but Im...
...and in that you show me that what you want is a sports car that you can slip past the parents. Reliability is greatly affected by how you use the right foot.
Mazda Miata may be fun and economical, but it is entirely impractical. If you get the 240SX you will end up modding it and there goes the reliability factor. Get a 94-99 Celica! Fun, resonable performance, looks good, and you stay in the family.
