I was going to respond to all the bullshit witchcraft and voodoo hype about buying off ebay, but I think Rich covered it pretty well.
I bought a cometic gasket off ebay. Yes its a genuine Cometic, yes it was cheaper...because it came from ebay does that make in inherently bad? NO! some...

clean, modded trans sitting behind it ready to go in. Its gonna be pretty! Sure hope my wrenching was good.
I did NOT get the trans bolted to to the motor today. I got the trans all buttoned up and clean however and ready to go on tomorrow early. I also went over the whole motor with a fine tooth comb and checked torque and fit and performed a few tweaks to routes and mounts. Im real happy with how...
so absorbed in my own little world I havent checked in here. I know where you are at and its a long haul from there. The best advice I can offer is allow time for setbacks and dont burn yourself out on it (ask me how I know this, lol).

Well the "Mentor for hire" as he called himself, who responded to a post I made over on SF....complete no show. We made at least 2 appointments for days he said he could come help...guess who put the bottom end together all by himself? LOL
Dan came by and drove my ass all the way to Champion...
