Yep, we sometimes forget how spoiled we are in the US when it comes to finding what we need.
Satan to the rescue!
(somehow Ive always wanted to exclaim that!)
Its a mk2 thing, that is our lumbar pump. You pump the bladder up and then bleed off air via one of the 3 valves on the side of the seat to fine tune it. One of the great things about the mk2 seats is that they have all the comfort and adjustability of the mk3 seats without all the weight added...
Well Im now the artist formerly known as theWeezL. A little backstory on that. Years ago when I was doing ALOT of online gaming I took on the tag of DrunKnWeezL. I was actually ranked in the top 10 players of the "siege" form of the game Tribes2, but thats a long time ago. Anyway, at some point...

I dislike the nose treatment and the engine bay. Other than that I dont mind the car at all. The beauty of custom auto work is that we all own our own shit, and do as we please with it. I keep thinking of the analogy that "fat girls need love too". That supra is loved...by someone. :naughty:
I never really appreciated him as a performer, but its certainly sad to see someone go so young and from seemingly minor causes. My condolences to the family and friends.
I havent really taken the time to find all the NW guys with builds but I saw that you mentioned you werent going to make PacNW and I thought I would pop in here and give you some encouragment.
It looks like you are on a short list of things left to do, but anyone who has put a car together...
hey CRE thanks for stepping in and clarifying the AFM differnces. I completely spaced that the NA wasnt KV. I should have realized as mine is NA now, lol. I do know the SAFC allows you to choose the type of AFM and that KV was not the only choice.
go tell those guys on the other forum they are NOOBS. They wouldnt happen to have big "H"'s on their hoods and wings on the back of their front wheel drive cars would they? :nono: The turbo has nothing to do with it. All an AFC does is trick the stock ECU by changing the signal coming from the...
more tune points and a slightly better interface if I remember correctly. Both are disco'd I think so unless you can find one used or sitting in backstock you are going to have get a neo.
Hardtops are lame. Targas dont leak if you seal them correctly, anyone with a leaky targa is just TOO lazy to fix it right. Honestly, I cant understand complaining about leaky targas any more than I can understand calling the 7M an inherently bad engine.
As for targa flex with the top out...
fuel soot tends to be very black and dry powdery when built up. Oil soot is more on the brown side and is a bit stickier like a film. Im betting its a combination of both. Tired rings and untuned OEM ecu running rich. Nothing to worry about in the short run. If you take care of it and drive it...
a buddy of mine drove one of those for years (I think it was an older model) and he beat the crap out of it and never took very good care of it. It just kept running.
Must have been too busy yesterday to notice this, Sorry Ian.
You are one of the reasons I even hang out on this site anymore, Happy Birthday ya old fart!
there is a liquid metal etch you should be able to find in just about any hardware store. I used it to pre-etch some chrome bumpers once. It worked ok.
