Gauge cluster dead, but has power?

Dont you still have the cluster with the glow gauges on it to compare to the one you bought? Also, why not just remove the gauge faces from the old cluster, they are usually just overlays and ther stock ones should be there underneath.

I posted this same info on the first page. But when I re-read it I realized I didnt mention to weld the roll pin (top, bottom and sides). :nono:

The $2008 Grassroots challenge build-up thread

Please tell me you are building a tube replacement for the bumper support, or putting it back in. In the event of an accident on the track or even a small excursion off road will result in damaging critical components (radiator at the least) and could put you out of commision early. Not to...

ED & CC: Carbon Fiber Parts

Speculation on what something weighs was never asked by the OP but YOU insist on derailing the thread just because you seem to have an axe to grind. I was never part of the "rest" even discussing it and you seem to have missed the point STILL. The OP asked for suggestions on what people would...

"Lifetime" Fuel filter dissection - With Pics

My 1977 7M-GTE CELICA! Finished! Test drive vid on page 18!

Please tell me you arent using those cheap rubber elbows from your intercooler kit on there. Those things suck and wont hold much boost. I used a set like that for mockup as well but when it came time to actually run the car they were replaced with real silicone couplers.

    Facime's Mk2 build

Thanks for the compliments guys. I tried to clearcoat them with the same brand (Duplicolor High Performance Wheel Coating) paint and all it did was haze up on it. I ended up having to restrip the one I tried and decided I will leave the clear to a pro.

looks like the pivot pin notch is significantly different too. odd. If you are worried about getting a good weld going stick to stick, you can always do a roll pin wrap. Take a good sized roll pin, and open it up enough (or slice it in half) to wrap around the bar you are welding. It will act...

    Facime's Mk2 build

Well, Im trying to do whatever I can to stand out at least a little at PacNW. Im relying on detailing to showcase the car since I dont have anything real fancy to show off, just a stock 85 SDR. Im hoping these will help: todays plan is to pull the upholstery and get it...
