I'll make one up by early next week and let you know, but $75 should be do-able. I forgot the 7m one is pretty long, that is why I just need to double check, because ss line is kinda expensive per foot.
Maybe I just use better quality hose then you, because our teflon lined stainless hose in -6 size is good for 2000psi working pressure and the burst pressure is even higher. Neoprene lined hose must be what you are talking about.
Maybe Dr J is stupid, but I'm not. :biglaugh:
No worries, we have all made mistakes.
Very true!
This may be common knowledge but just in case anyone was wondering:
The fuses are actually to protect the wiring itself from overload. It may seem like they protect the item wired up down stream, but in fact the fuse just keeps the...
So you are saying that it's ok for farmers to pay illegals less then the minimum wage because they are here illegally so why not take advantage of them? So because they work for shit money then it's cool that they are here huh?
:biglaugh: We'll let it slide this time, but next time "your fired" :biglaugh:
"You must spread some reputation around before giving it to Bosomk3's wiring again"
Huh? The fuel pump is max about 10 amps, you probably had +12v and ground going to the contacts on the switch and when you flipped it on it shorted the battery directly to ground through the switch. There's no way a fuel pump melted the switch like that.
See, the thing is that rebuilding a shortblock (bottom end only) at a reputable shop, for a FULL rebuild done right, will run you in the neighborhood of $800-1000 in machine work alone. That's the only reason they sell those motors for the prices they do. Now you could just run it and see what...
That's really sad on the motor. Looks like you bought it from a bunch of chimps alright. You get what you pay for though, I tell people all the time that these "reconditioned" motors are crap, and that "inspected" just means the motor looked good so they shipped it to you. Installing ARP main...
Look under the car at the steering while someone turns the wheel back and forth, it should be easy to see if there is any play in the tie rods or if the rack itself is loose. I've seen the rack bolts come loose and let the rack move around, or the bushings around the rack can wear out. To check...
:biglaugh:
You need to surface the head and the block if you don't want to do this job over and over again. If the engine has a bhg, chances are the deck will not be flat and will have some pitting around the coolant passages. I would give it a 75% chance it will blow in the first 5k miles...
The solenoids can test good on the bench and then not work when they have oil pressure or just from heat even. It happened on my a340 in my truck before. They looked good with a ohm meter, and clicked with 12v applied, then suddenly they would be open circuit for no reason.
It would not...
