That old engine harness has caused problems from the beginning, you really should change it out asap.

Worked on it a little more today. Coolant reservoir is mounted up, I welded a piece onto the stock bracket to bolt it up. I wish I had a cnc like IJ, but for now I have to make use of the sawsall, drill press, and belt sander.

I just changed the filter and the shift solenoids on a mk4 auto trans yesterday, it needed both. I get the aftermarket solenoids (1 and 2) for $120pr, and the filter for $10. It's not that hard to do, but it is messy so put something under it like a tarp.
