Personally, I'd go with oil temp. But then again I run a PAO/POE based Group IV/V synthetic and go 12,000 miles between changes. I'm hardly the average auto owner. :)
However I will point out that all of my Supras run like new, even the ones where I went over 300,000 miles... :)

$500 is a great price for that weapon as described, I wouldn't hesitate to jump on it.
The L9 is one of the thinnest .45's you can get. Nice concealment weapon.
As for speed guns, that's what STI is know for. It's one of the few compaines where you can buy something like this 100% stock off...
STI makes a really really nice weapon. I've always been impressed with them and an STI Guardian is on the list of contenders for replacing my aging daily carry gun.
It's pretty hard to go wrong with an STI. Very high quality stuff. Prices aren't too bad for the LS series. Between $700 & $800...
