i rewired my fogs using an external 30A relay while retaining the stock switch. i use sylvania 100w bulbs, and they're super bright. (i used better wire) -shaeff

i'm betting that the tiny turbo on the 1.8T isn't pushing enough air to make the purge audible. but then again, that's just a guess. :) a 1.8T's 7psi isn't equal in airflow to a CT-26's 7psi. -shaeff
