only for that half a second inbetween shifts.
you guys are making a bigger deal of this than it is. if you want to recirc? sure theres nothing wrong with that. if you want to vent to atmosphere? there is nothing wrong with that either. if your BOV is properly adjusted you will have no problems.
not much more than stock.
you can turn the boost up to 10 pounds and be safe assuming that everything is functioning correctly regarding the motor it self.
thats a horrible idea. its possible that at its tightest setting it MIGHT be ok.........
except if you over tighten it it wont function correctly, and eventually kill your turbo.
so again i say, you have to ADJUST IT FOR YOUR CAR.
you want to make it tight enough that your car dosnt...
pull the motor out, re adjust the chain on the hoist so the motor/tranny is at a very steep angle, nearly, but not quite pointing straight down. make sure its still pointing towards the tranny tunnel. get a floor jack under there to adjust the angle as you position the engine into place. its all...
want to know if its a good alignment shop or not? ask them what happens if they find something wrong. they SHOULD tell you that they wont align it until whatever it is is repaired.
:werd:
you have to adjust the thing. if its adjusted the right way the car wont stall, it MAY stumble a little SOMETIMES but it really isnt a big deal, at all.
sorry i only skimmed most the thread so sorry if this was covered but....
did the HG blow simply from "too much boost" or were you detonating?
im planning on pushing the stock HG to its limits and from what other veterans have said i gather that the stock HG will hold whatever you throw at...
oh shit...........i just realized that when i repaired my BHG after my rebuild i didnt put any RTV inbetween the block and the front plate....
hah! oh well.
