you are rotating the CPS to line up the timing marks right? that RPM dropping thing is a problem my friends car had, IIRC he fixed it by adjusting the TPS. which BTW, you need to have adjusted BEFORE you can set the timing. someone correct me if i am wrong.

well i hear the rule is you can safely go plus 20mm over stock tire width, which is what i have on the rears now. im wondering if 5mm will make a difference in handling. itll sure help traction but maybe not enough support during cornering? im no wheel expert.

i currently have 245/45/16s out back on the stock 5 star wheels. i read a quick one line on mkiiitech that you can fit 255's out back on stock sawblades (= to stock 5 stars..). can anyone confirm this? any one run 255s on stock wheels? i know that the 245/45 yokohamas were very hard to get on...

smmmmarttttt.... well id say pulling the motor even without a lift is a waste of time. however i do understand that you might rather do that extra work than be stuck under the car in front of your house..ive been there and its no fun at all.

yeah and since you cant match faded paint you could have gotten a paint job + that rust fixed since most reputable shops wont paint over rust...

loosen the motor mounts and put your support (are you using a lift?) under the crank to angle the motor downwards. itll give you enough room to get a clear shot at those bolts with an extension.
