If youre going to push more than 500hp id reccommend new oem internals rods and pistons or go after market which will probabaly end up being cheaper. Id have the crank machined and have the entire rotating assembly balanced. If you can modify the oil pump or shim it. Plus all the machine work...
Hmmm its like they keep taking styling cues from the 60's and 70's. Im seeing a bit of 71-73 Mustang in that concept. Im happy as long as they dont return to the god awful Mustang II's.

Umm this is just a wild guess but check the hose coming off the turbo going to the intercooler had the same symptoms as you do and my hose looked like this when i finally pulled it off.
