I'm still running mine. 155k miles on the ODO, and it's still running strong. I DID, however, get a BHG, which I'm sure was due to lack of maintenance before I bought it. Replaced the HG at 149,xxxk, and all has been well since. :)

You cannot cut through the circuitry. Pull it off carefully, cut holes, pad the back of the gauge if it'll touch the overlay, then replace the circuitry. :)

That's not my setup, I'm still gathering parts for it. :) I'll be using Infinity FX35 projector housings (bi-xenon) with TSX lenses (better than even the clear fx35 lenses). I'll most likely make a custom shroud, too to produce the sharpest cutoff I possibly can. The above pic is called TFX...

If you've got 315's stuffed on MKIV TT rims, chances are you don't have any more contact patch than I do with 275/40's out back. (running 255/40's on the front). Falken Azenis RT-615 tires.
