I wanted to buy some parts off of him, but he hasn't been on SM since the 10th. I always get great pricing a shipping time from the guy and would rather get these needed parts off of him than another member. But time is a factor here. He answered my PM on the 10th saying he had the parts for me...
I need the spark plug wire order to the coilpack.
I can't seem to get a consistent answer from anybody. Is it different for different years?
I have a 90T and the TSRM for my year says 5,6 - 3,4 - 1,2 (which I am guessing is from right to left). Not sure why they don't just say 123456...
Once again, I purchased the engine off of Steve Vang of Vangs Dyno in OK. He ran the engine for around 3000 miles and had all the engine work done by Defcon Motorsports in ohio. I just talked to him yesterday and he said that he pushed over 700whp on this engine on one dyno run. Steve claims to...
I've received PM's from at least 4 members in my area who are willing to lend a hand. Thanks everyone. And the more the marrier, so anyone else wanting to help please drop me a PM.
Thanks.
I acquired all these parts because different jackasses who had my car said they were ready for them, but they weren't. So everything just got piled up. I have a decent amount of tools. The reason they aren't in the same pics as the engine is because it's a 2 car garage and the parts were on the...
Yeah, I know. There's not much of a MKIII crowd in this area. I don't even know of many nice ones around, which is one of the main reasons I want my car done so bad.
I've received several PM's from members willing to help. Which is great! I just need to get my ass in the garage and start...
I've been dumping all my free time into this vehicle for the last 3 months (since the body was returned to me) and it's been slow moving. Damn near all engine bay brackets (suchas those that hold fuses and selenoids) are surface rusted and need sanded. Same goes for the gas tank. I dumped 10's...
Much appreciation goes out to all the helpful (and hopeful) responses. As of this point, completing the vehicle may not be an option since time is of the essense. What I need is for some people to come down and assess the situation. See how far along the project is and what needs to be done to...
No, my name isn't Cory. Lol.
He did give me a hand helicoiling the exhaust side of my head tho. The last time I saw him he was running the piss outta that purple supra of his. It's got a blown head and a leaky intercooler. Pretty sure he's just running that thing into the ground.
I've been pushing this project along forever. I just leave my stuff with idiots and now I have to clean up their mess. The sad thing is, I'm on my fourth engine now, out maybe $5000 in labor and other little things (like gasket kits and what not) and my vehicle is in much worse shape then it...
I'm ready to get out of the game. After 4 mechanics destroying my project, I'm at the point of either finding someone local who knows these cars to work on mine, or getting out completely.
I have a 2 bay garage with plenty of tools and 10's of thousands of dollars in parts. I even have a...
Wow! Never have I seen so many dual exhaust MKIII's. Most look pretty decent. However, that dual triple pipe mock-up (one pipe from the muffler and 5 non-functioning pipes) is for the gays :greddy:
I've been looking into the older HKS EVC's to match the appearance of the VPC I've been running. I've heard great things about the EVC 1's ease of use as well as it's rock steady performance. It has just 4 buttons on the front. From left to right they are Power, Low, Medium, and Hi. The EVC 2...
I'd say the motor alone would easily be worth the asking price. Makes me wonder if the motor actually has all those parts in it. I'd get receipts. Personally, I'd drop the pan before purchase. If everything checks out and the motor is running strong, I say go for it.
