    go-kart w/ lawnmower engine, help!

Sidebar, but a good one. Years ago my uncle put a 440 snowmobile engine in a homemade gocart frame. That thing was farging FAST!!! Biggest problem was cooling, like that was a surprise, but it was fun. :) /hijack

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

Mossberg 500 served me well as a kid in the 80's with 2 duck hunting trips every year to the Dakota's, deer hunting at home in Wisconsin and grouse in the UP after I got to college. It was stolen when I left the UP in 96 and I've wanted another one ever since. :3d_frown: IMO, you'd be hard...

Ever sit down in the shower and........

Fun yes, but be aware; There is a serious amplification effect from the water and tub that makes people in rooms next to and beneath the bathroom able to hear it all. I found that out the hard way when we were staying a month at my in-laws while our house was being built. You couldn't...

Just a couple pictures I took.

Pffft, Jay. Losing your window trim only means you were giving the other cars a fair shot at winning. :D

A Shytheed's Guide to Travel in the USA Vol 1: Troy, AL

Definitely come back to Alabama. Just make sure you stop by Louisville on your way through! :bigthumb: As for seeing it all? Where else can you run over a beaver and go clogging all within 50 miles? Alabama's where it's at. Chime in Jay. :-p

A Shytheed's Guide to Travel in the USA Vol 1: Troy, AL

Over the years traveling throughout bumblefuck USA for work, I've come across a few interesting things. "Cooterfest" in somewhere South Carolina comes to mind, where they celebrate the turtle, not the kooch. Today I'm in Troy, Alabama with our most recent hire, Gruver. More on him later...

    Changing Last Name with Marriage

This was an issue for my wife and me in the beginning. Not because she was hung up on her maiden name, but she wanted to keep her first married name as a hyphen. Her first husband died of cancer and she had a lot of feelings about having a different last name than her daughter from that...

12th annual Toyota Sport and GT Car Meet

Thanks Aaron, but I should be picking one up at the meet - hopefully in decent condition. I'll spend a little time straightening out the fins before I install it. Are you still planning on making it?

    mkIII - a good 1st car?

Love/Hate? No way, I LOVE my Supra. But there's a but... unless you have the money and the time to spend working on it, and if you have a garage with a good set of basic tools and some basic mechanical abilities, it's not the best choice and college students rarely have all of these things...

In that case, replace car. :biglaugh: Sorry, that's all I can offer. :)

    STRANGE LIGHTS

Mine does kind of the opposite; low beams work fine, but everything goes out when I flip my high beams on. I brought this topic up a while ago and somebody suggested that the contacts are probably dirty, and that pulling the steering wheel and a good cleaning would fix it. One of these days I...

    Da89Soup's ???????? thread!!!!!

Alright, so that was a little harsh of me. But what I meant to say is that Ken would be embarrassing every one of your blue fairymobiles! :-p

    The (old) Official Gun Thread.

People tend to pull the trigger with their first knuckle, or close to it, when the tip of your finger should be used to squeeze it. I was shooting way to the left when I first got that suggestion and saw an immediate shift toward the target. I didn't realize I had that much of my finger inside...
