I made a glass FFIM today.:) It aint pretty, but it is in the oven. It will be cooled down enough to see on Wed morning.

The casting should be smooth enough that I hope it will separate pretty easily, but yes, I will carefully dig at it, sandblast, powerwash, whatever works. Getting to that stage is the bigger concern right now. Emp- No need to spy, I am not hiding anything. 88t- Any new toys I get...

I could pull a mold from the finished aluminum part, but as far as molds go, this one would be fairly complex. I have access to a foundry to make one of these for me, but it is at the school where I work, and making lots of them is not an option.

Nah, it's not that, I am only making one, so I don't need a mold, and it's a royal pain in the ass, and it will add tons of time. #9 is just something we don't do. I will check the vents with air, and go directly from the burnout to the pour. Thanks for the concern Jay.;)
