Doesn't the motor have 264 cams? Are the not degreed?
The check valve clearance just need to pull valve covers and check with a feeler gauge. Can cause top end noise if there bigger than spec.
The 264 shouldn't make the motor interference either. So unless machine shop bent a valve no...
Ya. The squeaking will go away for a little but those pads are super cheap. Prolly organic so there going to glaze over fast again.
Look into some stock pads or atleast semi metallic. Posi quiet ceramics work pretty good for dd as well.
I don't run shims.
What pads?
If there cheap ones they can make noise easily.
If there good ones could be from improper break in or there just glazed over.
Take the pads out give them a little sand and the rotors too and should go away.
For rear could be parking brake or something...
^ indeed.

Piece of Advice would be to throw the Haines manual in the trash and then use this link or buy a repair manual from toyota.

Knock sensor plugs and o2 sensor plugs are different as well.
Engine year doesn't matter for harness year. Any engine will work with any harness with the right plugs on the sensors for the harness
I'd replace the front and rear mains while its out and apart.
Also seal the oil pan up good.
Oem seals from toyota are the best.
Can get a walbro pump from drift motion for a little over 100$. Bypass or drill out the j tube if you do that.
Just pound on it and use penetrating oil. It will come off. That's all a shop is going to do.
Driving without the exhaust right there could start a fire.
You will have to modify the lower part of the cover for it to fit. The steering wheel will fit tho. Not sure if the cruise control plug is different tho.
Everything is plug n play as long as the years are matching. Like pre89 yellow plug to yellow plug. 89-90 are the same and 91 and 92 have there differences as well
What year is each car?
