Listen to JDub, he know what he is talking about. Instructions directly from Cometic attached.... but I'll just pull out the key point in question.
"Additional sealer is not required with Cometic MLS Head Gaskets. The outer layers of the gasket are coated with a .001" thick coating of viton...
Thanks Racefiend. Already used it a few times to sort out some bolts I was confused about. This took some serious effort to compile, so my hat is off to you! :bigthumb:
This seems like the best link. I know a few people who have the Reg Riemer TCCS, does anyone know if its still available?

Nice links Figgie, lots of good info. They all seem to confirm that the ROM is internal to the CPU(s) and you need to set the EA pin to use external memory.
Correct, pure water has more heat capacity and lower viscosity, so is better for cooling. Another job of coolant though is to control internal corrosion. So when playing with the coolant/water ratio you need to also consider the impact on corrosion control and coolant longevity.
There's two OEM rad caps. Make sure your have the right one. They both fit but one does not touch the rad sealing lip because it is too short.
With the engine hot, is the top hose squishy or firm?
The ROM is most likely integrated into the CPU. Dr J site has info on making a daughter board, but without a disassembler / compiler this will be a nightmare project.

So I take it that the bolt rusts inside the bushing tube and get wedged in there. Is that the problem? (Bolt 48190 in the attached illustration?)

IJ, that was a fast reply! :aigo: Its sounding more and more like this is just the way it is with the 89+ models. I still need to verify the starter part number though.
Here's a shot of the two sensors some time back. They have never come out of the block so this is the original factory positions. They look correct to me!
That make sense, since I've read BHG posts where there is no mention of the starter getting in the way, but they do talk about having to drop the tranny to get the tranny connectors off.
In my case, the connectors for the tranny are all sitting beside the starter and easy to get off (you can...
Gixxer, what year is yours? This is a 90. I'll check the starter part number tonight since it is written on the housing. From the EPC I believe it should be 28100-45050-84 for a remanufactured one.
This is a photo of a Toyota rebuilt starter (installed by dealer a few years ago) next to the rear knock sensor. You can see that the cable from the knock sensor is touching the starter. In order to remove the knock sensor plug during my BHG repair I had to remove the starter. Is this normal...
