The Supra community has a couple of dealerships that have excelent prices and you can get pretty much anything.
You can use Curt at Elmhurst Toyota (eparts@elmhursttoyota.com) or Jeff Watson at Champion Toyota (1-800-327-2087) both are excelent!
If you go to...
Yep, there should be a pretty large bolt/washer looking thing in there. You are correct, you are extremely lucky it didn't fly apart; now all you have to be lucky with is that your crank doesn't need to be replaced and you'll be on your way.
195 ft/lbs sounds correct shaeff!
Yea, I have those two giant ones that go between the body and the bearing still, I just had to replace the bolt and its corresponding washers.
If you say the bolt head doesn't matter then I'll take your word for it. I don't really like not understanding why but it seems your advise is normally...
Are you using the correct feed like recommended by the turbo mfg? If not you should start there, because if the turbo has no internal restrictor the line itself is all it has.
Also, make sure that your return is in no way what-so-ever restricted or pressurized, I have seen some be very finiky...
I don't have any reccommendations really, I'm interested to see if you can come up with some sort of steamer though. Since it seems like something that would come in handy, and a better alternative to power washing which will just soak everything in sight. :)
Good choice! Just make sure you do keep it filled until it gets fixed, a buddy of mine has a leak and when he starts to run low the PS will sort of lock mid corner intermitantly.
BTW, are you cleaning it your self or is there a shop somewhere that does it? If you're doing it yourself what are...
I guess... but being 17 is not really any kind of excuse. When I was 16 (I'm only 17 now) it didn't matter, I would run myself in hundreds in debt if it meant fixing something correctly, that was before I was even allowed to drive by myself!
Whats the banjobolt line conversion?
I get .6kg/cm^2/8.53psi at hot idle (105C) and somewhere around 3kg/cm^2/42.6psi hot at 3k RPM with a totally stock oil system.

Alright, welp, I lost one of the two bolts for the center bearing (which has play anyway) so I need to try and find some washers that will be strong enough to support something like this. I also need to get some new DS> diff bolts since the ones I'm using now will be too long for the thinner...
I didn't know that this DS had a spot for the other side of that cover, I suppose that makes sence though... something I neglected to install? :icon_redf
