Doesn't impact MPG really at all from my findings. I got the same actual mileage with the 4.30 as I did with the 3.73 I love how, now that gas prices are going up again, there are two new threads about MPG in two days.

I consistently get better then what they list on that site in my turbo.

I've had great success with it being my 1st and ONLY daily driven car. Just don't be a fool with it and you'll be fine. I thought the same thing on the BHG issue when I bought it, but its just blown way out of proportion due to the tremendous number of complete idiots who think they are...

You're pressure testing your intake: Compressed air goes into some cylinders, leaking past the rings, pressurizing the crank case, and coming out the PCV system which I'm assuming at this point you probably have hooked up incorrectly or taken off.

If you run WOT, have a non-functional dash pot, and the vac line off the BOV. You can JUST BARELY hear it flutter... sometimes. ;)
