Ya exhaust cams are the same. intake cam has slightly bigger on the turbos.

Did you stand the trans mission on end? The reverse idler gear can drop into place if you do. Also one of the detent balls will fall out if you don't take it out first when you pull the extension housing off.

Id start with porting the wastegate hole.

It looks like the gold piece could be removed. also could replace the old subframe bushings with new poly bushings wile it out. Or with just new toyota. your choice. Ronniek's bushings have the spacer added into the bushings so you dont need the solid alum spacer.

Could just buy the paper book from toyota.

You will change both at the same time. Lift engine up and remove mounts. May have to loosen subframe bolts some to make it easier.

The cable prolly broke. It's pieces. Short piece near the trans usually breaks. Remove and spin it by hand and see if the other side spins.
