We need a suspension thread.. lol. Depending who I talk to, I get a lot of different opinions. Would be nice to start up a suspension drop & ride thread : )
On mine, nothing rubs .. is kind of a perfect fit. My speedo is about 3km per hour faster than what I am actually driving in my 88 (90 has a different gear), but they fit perfect imo. Now.. when I lower it, that may be a different story, because I think the tread may be a little too flush, so I...
You can get a mirror polished stainless one as well .. I think its a Lipp from Driftmotion if I recall.
I think that retrospec was making them in CF.. but they may not be in good standing with the forums at present.
No engine bay clean up yet other than hoses.. so why waste the bandwidth.. however... carwise.. here is the result so far.. (about 1/2 way there.. lol)
Before...
Presently looking like this...
Anyone who thinks they are done with their Supra is either a. Broke, b. ready to...
Only allowed 5 per post.. additional pics...
Took the car to 180 kph (umm... okay.. dont read that if your police... it was a short burst), and other than a slight body wobble (from targa.. really gotta retorque my frame bolts) the wheels ride smooth as glass. Didnt think it would be that...
18" Work Rims (Polished)
Frt rims - 18x8 +35, 225/40zr18
Rear rims - 18x9 +35, 255/35r18
Just bought these for a steal of a deal. They sit very flush imo, but I will have to lower the car. (removed comment regarding front and rear profile. did math and they are perfect imo)
I put up photos...
Windshield on my 88 cost me 265.00 installed. (of course.. it split in half.. on install #2 now.. but it was a faulty windshield). They come to my house to do it too...
There is a rubber "grommet" you can use as opposed to the window trim on the front. I am a fan of "old school" tin though.. lol.
I took the screw off (I have the back panels off as well as the rear interior is totally out of the car atm.... ) and couldnt figure out what is holding the vent in.. is there a trick to popping those out? I want to replace mine, but cant get them out.
Rodel's car is the only reason I would ever sell mine... lol. Then I would show up at the door with cash in hand and park it at my cousins house until I could cross border it : )
Figured it would be wise for me to Put mine in here now.. the paint and body is done (other than inner wheel wells rear)
as are most MK3's... still a work in progress :icon_razz
Rodel, what did you do for fog/driving lights. I went to reattach mine (using the Shine auto bumper MA70-FB-G, which I believe is same (or similar) as yours) and the 88 MKIII Driving/fog lights bracket is not going to work any longer. Definitely going to have to go after market for those..
(I...
You killed my car! (oops.. your car) :P
Rodel.. what do you do in real life? Just curious.. because if I took your road to upgrading my Supra I would have to sell 3 kids and rob the neighbors to achieve it, so I am assuming you have some skill sets that make it doable... lol
I would wait 3 months for a properly done job.. rather than bitch about it 3 months later when I noticed the flaws... : )
Thanks for the info on the door inserts, I plan on doing my door panels in leather and wanted to go with a black or med. grey so that takes care of that problem for me...
With that fitment.. do you get any rubbing at all during "bounces" on the road? Looks like the lip of the wheel well will hit the top edge of the tread (cuttting it). Seen a volvo with chew marks like that and I dont recall you rolling your fenders.
Having asked that question though.. they...
