nope.
the access panel in the hatch is only to unplug the fuel pump wiring harness, not remove the sender through. You have to drop the tank to remove the sending unit.
I would suggest dropping the tank and then assessing the situation from there. The car's already going to be down judging...
Step one: Install in trash.
Step two: buy an Apex-i power intake or AEM dryflow filter that will actually work.
Step three: Stand back and enjoy your new filter, knowing that it'll actually be filtering the air.
