I don't cheap out. I get good parts. I stripped my engine bay's loom all over and reloomed it, just because it looked old. I alway pay attention to detail because that is what makes everything else stand out.
I am using a T4 oil cooler turbo setup. The place where the watercooled line...
I got my Lokar Custom Dipstick and Beech Oil Filter Relocation Kit. Also recieved a box of parts, mostly of heat protection, from SupraSport. My radiator should be coming from Grimsta on Monday and we have off from school Friday and the following Monday, so I plan on getting a good amount of...
How do I hook up electric fans? I have looked around for a write up on how to do this. I know I can use a fan controller with a probe in the radiator but what about a thermostatic switch in the thermostat housing since I am not using the Bimetallic valve.
I do have the upgraded alternator...
Ofcourse, he sold the car. The thing is the guy kept spooling the turbo in every gear. Shifted at 3,500RPM in every gear and I don't know why. His turbo can barely spool now, it only goes to 5LBS. I laughed, I told him not to shift like that.
Hint, research and if you can build the head yourself. Only send to pressure test, mill and a hardness test. Changing valve seals and lapping the valves yourself will do you good and check your clearances because you don't want to have a noisey engine.
I would recommend doing a budget...
A friend of mine made 15LBS on a stock CT. Yes, that is past the effiency level. He was using an Autometer Boost Gauge as well. At 15LBS, it did not hit fuel cut. He was using an Areomotive Fuel Pressure regulator. You can push those 400cc's a good way but at least a Walbro and Fuel...
Does anyone know how I can replace the hose that runs from the Idle Air Control Valve to the intake on the turbo? I would like to use stainless steel hoses but the size I have to use does not take to well to bend and the right angle bends are highly priced.
Any suggestions?
Finally got my...
The DriftMotion kits are good as all the edges have a bead which helps the clamps stay on. Make sure you do use good quality clamps as well. Check all of your PVC hose because those tend to crack. Also, the accordian hose has a tendency to crack as well.
The oil pressure sender should go in the stock sensor location. The water temperature sender can go in the upper radiator hose or if you can find a sensor to work on the thermostat housing, that would be good.
Others users would be more helpful as I am still gathering information on where to...
Still waiting on the radiator to get here from Grimsta.
I got my full Stainless Steel DriftMotion Clutch Hose today and still waiting on the Beech Performance Oil Dipstick and Oil Fliter Relocation kit.
Pictures This Weekend As I Have Some Time To Work On The Car.
Where do you guys...
Duplicolor, "Super Red" Is What I Believed The Color Was. There are different shades. That black is "Gloss Black."
It is the engine paint. Make sure you get the engine paint so it won't flake when heat starts to take a toll on it. If you can, sand a little bit with some light sand paper...
Where do you guys move all of these things? Under fender wells and seal them? I have always seen people do this but I just don't know where they put all these things.
