Oil pan problem.

The jdm engine that i just bought has a mid or front sump that wont fit in my 1986.5, the old engine is another jdm engine that has a rear sump, i was wondering if i could replace the old one into the new engine will it fit, and is there anything i can do if it doesn't fit? the engine appears to be an 89+ 7mge.:1zhelp:

bleh what? swap the pump and pan for the rear sump setup.

Check which one is in better condition. You will need to use the rear sump and also the pick up to suit it.

pick up screen that is bolted to the pump. the 2 pumps are different. use the any supra oil pump not cressida.
