You are right, there is a bug in IDA on BRN. The 7M code doesn't use BRN so it slipped by, they seem to use the CMP function for this type of thing. There has been some work by Jason recently on making the IDA output cleaner. I need get that work out on assembla so everyone can benefit.
As far...
I bought one on ebay that works well on the 7M. It doesn't seem to be sold anymore though, but had a deep throat needed to get access to the keepers inside the bucket bore.
Manuel sent me this PM, and rather than respond in private I thought I would discuss it in public so others can benefit. We have covered some of the 'dirty tricks' used by Toyota to save memory, and this is another example (see post 66 where we discuss a similar scheme)
Basically, the...
That's not surprising since the fuel calibration is different between turbo and N/A. The Turbo uses larger injectors so the conversion from injector pulse width to fuel volume is different. This is also why it becomes inaccurate if you put larger injectors on.
I've flipped that switch on teh...
I don't believe there is a different computer for A/T and M/T. There is a different one for turbo and N/A. Here's the parts link.

No mod to gauge cluster, but you do need to pull the cluster cover off and unbolt a few things.
Hardware bolts into the existing mounting holes for CPU under dash
It worked in my 90.
It is a lot of work to integrate the harness. You will need to pull apart the dash and run wires to the...
Best bet would be to use a cheap micro like an Atmel AVR to capture the injection pulse width and scale it. Still wouldn't be accurate at WOT, but would probably be close enough. In other words, put a piggyback between the SM and the injector signal.
None taken.
To get this data took some pain. I measured deflection as a function of thermocouple resistance assuming an operating voltage of 13.8V. I used a programmable power supply to simulate the thermosensor. I made a graduated scale for the gauge so I could tell the difference between 20%...
I measured it myself. Feel free to measure your own if your don't "buy it".
It could be made linear. Its actually a very high quality movement. There is a zener diode purposely added to it to make it non-linear. Another project I will never get around to doing.
Car companies have learned...

The middle kit is cut and bent to be a direct fit to the 7MGTE. The other two kits are just random sections of pipe with standard curves. You will need to cut them to make them fit, and then they won't have the edge bead unless you own your own pipe beader.
Do you think the stock airbox (plumbing) is a significant restriction compared to the rest of the of the intake? I guess I'd like to see the dP from ambient to turbo intake for the stock box vs the aftermarket solutions. There is so little real data for any of this aftermarket stuff.
A "no contest" plea is treated by a court in exactly the same manner as a guilty plea. In Florida, where you appear to be from, the state Supreme Court held in 2005 that "no contest" convictions may be treated as prior convictions for the purposes of future sentencing.
