The 350 small block Chevy engine is probably one of the easiest engine to get good amounts of power without major upgrades and it does not need a new tune suchs as fuel injectors cars.
I agree, use a good bead of silicone on the oil pan. Even the gasket set that Saftey Gaskets and DriftMotion sells comes with a oil pan gasket. I use a bead of silicone on every gasket except on the exhaust manifold.
Is your car parked in your garage? If it is, just take your time and work on it piece by piece. An hour a day or two hours if you can would help a lot. Don't take any shortcuts with important parts, if it looks bad, replace it. Trust me, I know how it is to work hard on a car and have things...
Good job on selling the 350Z for the M3. Drop it on the Dinan setup. They are good suspension setups. They only deal with BMW. Maybe a chip for the computer. I always wanted a E46 M3 but now that has changed to a 335i Coupe Six Speed.
7M's were not meant to rev high. 1JZ's are meant to do that. Sure, for the age of the engine, that would be considered high. I hae hearing about these kids nowdays that buy a Supra, add a boost control and then try and rev a stock engine to eight grand. 7M's throw torque out there like...
That sucks, post it as soon as you guys get it done though because I would buy it. What would be a price range for the 7M with the plug and play harness?
It is funny that this car can beat some 2JZ's swaps in my area because those guys do crap jobs and can't drive their cars. LOL! Good Job man.
I agree with sinistr, try to see if the guy who made your plug and play harness to see if he would like to get rich and make some production models...
GrimJack, what the hell is your problem? Stop answering things in this thread and get back to making your 2JZ more shiney and powerful with that nice Meth kit. Remember what Dom said, "Only Pussies Run Meth," you should give him a call. LOL!
Ok, so this is what is needed,
-Coil Packs From 2001 IS300 With A VVTi Engine
-7M Coil Pack Harness
Any special spark plugs to use to get the plugs to fit? Could Aaron make a new coil pack harness if I called and asked him to since I have bought everything for all the Supra's we have...
I would balance any engine if you are using new stock parts. If you are reusing stock parts such as pistons and rods, just put them back in the cylinder where they came from. Obviously bearings are a must and rings are a good addition too.
