Me too
I was thinking when i go to crank it over drain the oil but dont refill it. I was only thinking that since nothing else is hooked up and well oil will come out for the turbo connection or fill it back up with good oil and then crank it and to bad about the oil coming out.
Thanks Ian
i wont have to worry about the throtle since it will just be the head nothing else is attached to it yet. Or are you saying i should be asembling everything else first
lol i have a few questions never done a compression test before
how many times do i crank the engine over so forth so on?
How many times do i test each cyl. to get a proper test done
Cam cover need to be put on? Ground wires?
thnx IJ and Justin727 i will take the head back off tomorrow and try the oil thing.
About how much should i put in there. I have never done that before.
Just out of Curiousity. could the MHG do that from just a bad install and improperly worked surfaces so it would fail or am i just nuts...
well IJ
I have a feeling it went due to the issue about the timming from above. It blew zbout a week and a half after it was installed but i tthink the timing being off started it on its way to the end.
besides the timing to only other problem i was having at the time was the Idle would not...
Well i hope it was not Detonation cause then i have to run Race Fuel LOL!
Stock boost with full 3" Exhast turbo back no Cat
I use 91 or higher Octane always, usualy it's 94 that i get from a particular station around town here.
I know when i first ran the car the timing was off from the CPS...
LOL! its a HKS 1.2MM bead type MHG i had it tourqued down to 100-ft/lbs

I thought it would be interesting to show you guys. For some reason Supras here in Monteeal and Toronto seem to get an extra high $$$$ number put on them
even the one i have now i paid quite a bit for compaired to what i hear people selling theres for on SM
Just a fore warning the site is...
i dont know it if is either but you can get some polycarbonate that is extremly strong. I think the issue might be installing the right type polycarbonate in there.
Also if you do that wont you loose the use of the defogger for the rear hatch. I dont know about you but its gets humid up here...
