I only ask that you do one thing. If anyone one of your friends ever think it is okay to lean on that car, walk around witha stock CT26 and hit them in the face. :)
Rattles could come from the shims going out of spec in the head. That is not really likely at 66,000 miles but no impossible. Poor maintanece and lack of oil changes can lead to things like this.
LOL! Thanks A Lot Jetjock, Always Good To Take The Sarcasm And Intelligent Insults Because It Actually Helps You Learn And Know What Douchebag Kind Of Things Your Not Supposed To Do, Especially On An Engine As Sensitive As A 7M.
Issue? There was none, I just ran a hose from the turbo intake pipe to the throttle body, skipping the valve covers. I was not hooked up properly and skips the main part, the crankcase. I just did this to get the engine to idle and did not bother to hook it up until everything else I checked...
Yes, smoke on rev after idle and then when you hold the rev, it is a smaller trail but still viewable.
I know about a worn engine but this is a fresh new rebuild with rings. I posted the rings gap specs in the post above and they are in spec. I have no clue and don't want to go through the...
It runs on the exhaust side around the block. There is an outlet there going to the intake manifold to let anti-freeze into the thorttle body and ISCV for colder temperatures. You can cut off the old line but you will need to remove the intake manifold to properly install the new one.
Major Update
I changed out my GE injectors that were wrong and it did not help the idle issue. So, whats next. I revved the engine and all are firing and it is extremely smooth.
I was by the front of the car and revved the engine a little and blocked the AFM housing with my hand and it...
If youare grinding the valves and adding bigger cams, you will either need to grind the shims to get the right clearances or buy new shims. If grinding them, remember to soak them in cold water since they expand when it heats up.
Your machinist should know this. This will always happen with...
Thanks for the reply. I gave my VIN down to dealer for the harness. It is a grey plug and that is what is right for my car. One thing is that I could not find on plug for the ECU area inthr harness. The plugs for the ECU and dash are in but there was one coming from the harness that I could...
Why should I be checking it then? I don't have a problem doing it, is it because the fuel pump is not getting enough voltage at idle or signal at idle? Maybe a fuel pump on the way out?
No time today, work was too busy to work on the Supra.
Tomorrow I am going to change to the GTE...
I still have the resistor pack installed on the car. I mistaked and picked the GE injectors when I was OHMing them since I had both sets laid out. Dumb mistake. I am not sure to see how much the fuel pump is drawing but I know it has to do with the diagnostic block, right?
The meter...
"IDL - E2 1 ohm-.9mm Feeler Gauge 2k"
Should be infinity. I assume it goes to infinity if opened slightly more. If so leave it alone.
I know the sign for infinity is a sideways eight. How does the multimeter show that, by showing a 1?
I will pull the plugs and check the gap after...
Ok, I will try and get a filter on the Lexus tomorrow. It is close to the cooling fan, so I don't know my options so well. Will have to look.
Yes, I know that if air is forced into the AFM, it can cause the engine to stall.
I sold a New Greddy SP2 exhaust and the guy is supposed to be bring...
