Thats VERY interesting. You're the only one I have ever heard say this, and I tend to believe even one person who has actually experienced it over all internet hearsay.
Good info!
They help a lot (get this) when its super foggy out. They are way low down so you can actually see the road surface instead of just a white wall with just headlight.
I just cranked it to max everything and it was perfectly smooth for me. The Unreal engine (which I was happy to see it runs on) is always very good to me though in the nvidia camp.
Going to check for that patch Kai!
EDIT: Looks like I need to get going on STALKER... Clear Sky looks awesome!
Just finished playing the demo. Looks pretty interesting! I need to finish some of the games I own now 1st though. LOL
Still need to at least get further into STALKER (which chugs even for me on an 8800GTX), and I'm enjoying Rainbow Six Vegas right now.
Mine does fine with snow tires (remember thinner=better). In fact I have less trouble then my mom's Durango does in the snow.
It's all about momentum and getting the speed just right on hills, of course if you have some idiot in front of you who is terrified of driving in normal conditions...
