little capacitors that are just above it get old, crack, leek chemicals that are very corrosive onto the ecu = screwed up circuits.
all you have to do is change the little capacitors and your good to go as long as they havent burst already.
only 2k imported into the states.
look to see that the capacitors were changed often in the ecu otherwise you'll have to deal with the ruined circuits. if i had the means, i'd totally get one.
take a gander at galantvr4.org, know what to wach out for before you invest in the car and get...
either do NOTHING to it, or go all the way and make it the riciest car ever, take a paint scraper to the Honda label and put on a combo of Acura typeR Powerstroke Hemi v12 intercooled SI Pinto on the back.
good work and attention to detail, color scheme isnt my bottle of gin but you did a good job making the car look solid.
engine looks awsome, give us some numbers and shut the critics up.
simple green, brake parts cleener, your moms dish sponge w/ soapy water and paper towels. just keep water off of the sensors and the chemicals off of the paint cus they will straight up take it off.
hell, buy a quattro, and enjoy the other aspect of driving, muddy ass mountain roads, tne engines are just as solid, beat on it like no tomorrow and the thing still purrs like a kitten at 6krpm.
which gen civic are you gettin?
95 range?? thought about it too as a learning project but quite frankly i saw my friends civics and all the work that went into those, my $1k went further than their $1k. its a good project and if you do the mechanical work yourself you'll have the baseline...
that was REALLY well planned out. they had everything set up for that one and from the condition of whats left it looked like a really well taken care of car. i hope he finds the one responsible.
only negaitve comment i made was because of the "jump" thread,
you have to understand that younger people come to this thread even as young as 14 with no driviing experience and what they reed and see one the internet will influence their future behavior. to endorse acts of immaturity that...

if you just installed...
has anyone gone back through and remeasured them to see how much change there is in spacing say after 2k miles. say you set them all to 9 thousands when you redid all of the shims would there be much difference after they sit in and go thorugh enough heat cylces to jump past 10 or 11 thousands??
